Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi. Travel north-west through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing lush tea and coffee plantations and stopping at viewpoints along the way.

Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp.

In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting game drive around the lake where you may see flamingos, pelicans, and many other water birds along the shoreline. The park is also one of Kenya’s best places to see both black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, and buffalo.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge, Flamingo Hill Tented Camp, or Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before returning to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, depart for the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destination. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside and traditional Maasai lands.

Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Maasai Mara, exploring the vast savannah plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, Ashnil Mara Camp, or Camp Oloshaiki.

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the incredible wildlife of Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its rich wildlife and open grasslands, making it one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

Game drives across the plains may reveal large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and other wildlife. Predators such as cheetahs, lions, and hyenas are also commonly seen.

Depending on the season, visitors may witness part of the famous Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the Mara ecosystem.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in the Maasai Mara.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara National Reserve and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Lunch will be served along the way before arriving in the city later in the afternoon.

You will be dropped off at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
